Charities

We act for a variety of charities, including churches and can advise on the reporting requirements under the Charities Act 2006.

The regulations relating to charities have been increasing for many years and the latest Charities Act is no exception, although the limit for an audit has been increased from £250,000 to £500,000.

Because of the significant tax exemptions granted to charities, the government is looking to see that the trustees are good stewards of the funds under their control and provide sufficient information to measure that stewardship.

We are able to assist trustees in meeting these responsibilities and to advise on a variety of matters that arise in running a charity. Colin Gardner has been treasurer of various charities over many years and is well aware of the challenges that charities face in today’s world.

If you require assistance or guidance in any matters relating to a charity, please contact us by email.
